On Monday September 19 at Noon, Professor Bob Forrant will give a talk at UMass Lowell, O”Leary Room 500M on South Campus. The focus of his talk is “One Hundred Years Later: Why the Bread & Roses Strike Still Matters.” At the height of the 1912 strike against one of the largest wool conglomerates in the world, thousands of Lawrence mill workers withstood the militia and a New England winter demanding a better way of life for themselves and their children.
