Taking a page from my colleague Dick Howe’s book, I offer this photo of the 1980 Lowell School Committee. Can you identify the members? Who was the Mayor?

Not to spoil your fun Marie, but I could not resist. Front row left to right we have Daniel Kane, Mayor Robert C. Maguire, and Clemie McDonough. Standing left to right is Gerald Durkin, William Kirwin (Hmmm?), George O’Hare and Edmond “Gus” Coutu. How did I do?

Mayor Maguire is once again scheduled to be in Dracut for the summer. He arrives from his home in Daytona Beach, Florida on June 17. You’ll probably find him at Mt. Pleasant or Long Meadow or Vesper. Maybe even Meadow Creek in Dracut. Give him a hello. “Shooter” turned 83 last month.
