Legendary Locals of Lowell talk at UML on Tuesday
This Tuesday night, January 28, 2014, I will lead a discussion at the UMass Lowell O’Leary Library on the topic of Lowell history using the book Legendary Locals of Lowell. The event begins at 7 pm and continues until 9 pm. The O’Leary Library is on the UML South Campus.
This is the first of a four-part reading and discussion series hosted by the UMass Lowell Libraries. Each session will use a different book on Lowell from Arcadia Publishing. The other sessions are as follows:
Thursday, February 20 at 6:30 pm at the Pollard Memorial Library. This session will be led by Professor Bob Forrant and will use “Images of America: Lowell Vol. 1.”
Tuesday, March 11 at 7 pm at the O’Leary Library. This session will be led by Professor Marie Frank and will use “Campus History: UMass Lowell.”
Tuesday, April 8 at 6:30 pm at the Pollard Memorial Library. This session will be led by UML librarian Martha Mayo and will use “Images of America: Lowell Vol. 2.”
All sessions are free and open to the public. Copies of the books will be available at the sessions. While pre-registration is not required, it is encouraged.
