No Seasonal State House Lull For Democratic Caucus

From breakingnews on the Lowell Sun web-site: – State House News and Matt Murphy – late of the Lowell Sun staff – is reporting that Speaker DeLeo has summoned members to the State House for a Democratic caucus meeting tomorrow morning. Now that the redistricting dilemna has been addressed and voted and the long-considered casino gaming bill is now law, perhaps Speaker DeLeo feels the time is right to address his rumored plan to shake-up and realign his leadership team. Whether as a demotion rap on the knuckles to Rep Charlie Murphy (D-Burlington) who seems to many to be laying the ground work for his own run for Speaker or for some other reason, neither DeLeo or his staff has announced the agenda for the caucus. Murphy notes:

DeLeo informed the Democratic members of the House on Monday morning through an email that there would be a caucus meeting held at the State House on Tuesday morning. The message from one of DeLeo’s top aides did not specify to members the reason for calling them back to Beacon Hill, where the lawmaking schedule is light.Read more here: http://www.lowellsun.com/breakingnews/ci_19473716#ixzz1fganGteP
