UMass Lowell Plans Student Vets Center

Univerity of Massassachusetts Lowell Chancellor Marty Meehan announced his plans yesterday to make “student life” more welcoming and comfortable for UML student veterans by opening  a new student veterans center on campus.  From today’s Lowell SUN:

UMass Lowell Chancellor Marty Meehan said yesterday the university is planning to open a new student veterans center next year as part of the school’s continuing work to make veterans feel more accepted on campus. “I have directed our Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs to take the lead in making a UMass Lowell a veteran-friendly campus,” Meehan said yesterday during a flag-raising ceremony to honor veterans at the university.
