In today’s edition Globe writers Shanahan and Goldstein take a quick look at the trailer for “The Fighter” which – as Dick posted earlier – is up and ready for your perusal. It’s great to have the Globe play-up this movie based on the come-back of Lowell fighter Mickey Ward. But give us a break here! It’s not a Boston-based movie as they quote Richard Lawson. It was funny though to have the “but it’s not entirely some cobbled shantytown full of operatically grimy people running around shooting guns for Family and Honor” attributed to the Hub! Someone failed to sell Mr. Lawson our “There’s a lot to like about Lowell” mantra.
Here’s the Boston Globe article.
