This Saturday’s Lowell Walk will feature the Hamilton Canal District and will be led by Claire Ricker of the city’s Department of Planning and Development. The walk begins at 10 am at Lowell National Park Visitor Center and will last about 90 minutes. It’s free and there is no need to sign up in advance.
The Hamilton Canal District has been the subject of a walk in each of the four years that Lowell Walks has been in existence, but never before has there been so much visible activity on this project. Don’t miss this one.
Looking ahead, the next Lowell Walk will be Saturday, September 1, 2018, also at 10 am from the Visitor Center. The topic will be Lowell in World War I and it will be led by Richard Howe (me).
