Yesterday Bill and I were pleased to be a part of the celebratory reception for newly-elected UMass Lowell Chancellor Jacquie Moloney. Despite the severe weather alerts, wind and downpours, a few hundred people, most from UMass Lowell family with some community partners joining them, gathered at University Crossing in Ed and Jacquie Moloney Hall to applaud her historic selection/election. Chancellor Moloney was introduced to all by her former boss now UMass President Marty Meehan. The room was full of warmth, praise, support and good feeling for the new Chancellor. As an alum, a GSE Advisory Board member and UML supporters, we couldn’t be happier!
