Lowell’s Got Moxie! Check Out ‘Entrepreneurship in Lowell’: 9/25, 6 pm
Stirred up in Lowell in 1876, Moxie was the first mass-manufactured soft drink in the U.S.
The Lowell Heritage Partnership will present an expert panel discussion about the City of Lowell’s innovative past, present and future on Wed., Sept. 25 at 6 pm at the Merrimack Valley Sandbox in Wannalancit Mills. Speakers include:
* Richard Howe, Registrar of Deeds, and author of Legendary Locals of Lowell
* David Parker, Executive Director, Merrimack Valley Sandbox
* Theresa Park, City of Lowell’s City of Lowell Economic Development Office
* Steven Tello, UMass Lowell‘s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship
The panel will be moderated by Lowell Heritage Partnership President Paul Marion. During the event, the speakers will discuss Lowell’s unique history with entrepreneurs, some of the efforts of various organizations to support innovation in the region today, and where these experts see entrepreneurship in Lowell going forward.
The event will be hosted by the Merrimack Valley Sandbox in their new space at Wannalancit Mills, 175 Cabot St, First Floor.
