Remembering Peter Stamas, Thursday, Nov. 15, 7 pm, Parker Gallery/Whistler House
Join us in paying tribute to one of the great humanitarians of modern Lowell, a man who made enduring contributions to education, his church, Lowell’s heritage, and the quality of life of our community.
This is a Parker Lectures event, cosponsored by the Lowell Heritage Partnership, Hellenic Culture and Heritage Society, and Greater Lowell Community Foundation. Speakers will include William “Bill” Samaras, Marie Sweeney, Linda Sou, James Ostis, and others. The program will include a short film about the Human Services Corporation of Lowell, which Peter helped establish with Dr Patrick J. Mogan and others, and later led for many years. A panel of younger leaders in Lowell will reflect on the example Peter gave to us.
