Thirty years of the Lowell School Committee

Here’s a list of the members of the Lowell School Committee since 1981 with some occasional notes and some (but not yet all) of the unsuccessful candidates. Shortly after the election, Superintendent of Schools Karla Brooks Baehr announced she would not seek an extension of her contract which would expire in June 2008. Baehr had served as Lowell’s superintendent since 2000. She was replaced by Chris Scott.
