As I read Moyers’ words I kept thinking about all the work Marty Meehan did in Congress to try to reform the campaign finance system. He and Chris Shays and Russ Feingold and John McCain tried to change the system. They picked the right fight. For Moyers, it’s the flood of money from monied interests since the 1970s that has changed the political equation. The recent Supreme Court decision on corporate donations opened the way for even more of such money.
