See bbc.com for a report on a popular and innovative adaptive reuse of an abandoned elevated subway track in New York City. Is this an option for rethinking the Textile Memorial Bridge/University Ave. Bridge if the bridge is not demolished?

Great idea … also this from Mike Wurm:
“Take a look at the link sent by Prof. Todd Tietchen for the old railroad bridge over the Hudson converted into a walkway (spectacular!) for ideas on how our bridge would work in future. Ours is smaller but can be just about as exciting in views and landmark and tourist potential.”
There’s a new video called “What is the fate of the Textile Memorial Bridge in Lowell, MA?” at http://youtu.be/xaUjKNjUkpw . The piece is a trailer for the documentary now in progress. Anyone who supports the cause of saving the bridge, who would like to be interviewed for the documentary please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org . Thank you for your support!
