Noted at WickedLocal Tewksbury: As part of an onging series respected local author Jay Atkinson will appear at the Tewksbury Public Library tonight – July 20, 2011 – for a timely discussion about his book “Legends of Winter Hill.” The presentation begins at 6:30pm. Join the group to learn more about Boston’s legendary mobsters and gangsters.

On Wednesday, July 20 at 6:30 p.m., join Jay Atkinson – novelist, short story writer, essayist, critic, and investigative journalist – to learn about the career of one of the “good guys” battling Boston’s mobsters and gangsters. Atkinson will discuss his book “Legends of Winter Hill,” which immerses readers in the world of Boston-area mobsters via the career of late detective Joe McCain, one of Beantown’s most decorated police officers. A book signing will follow the event.
