40 Guns
The Lowell Sun yesterday reported that some 40 guns were stolen from a vault in a cellar of a house in Lowell. Is there a limit on how many guns an individual can legally own and store in one place? This quantity is more like an arsenal of handguns and rifles.
Maybe it is a collection of historic guns.
This is like the question of a City Council Primary. Whatever the number in the law there will be those who say we shouldn’t spend the money on the election because it isn’t worth it for just one additional person. If we put a limit on the number of guns, then there will be someone saying, “that number is too high and it should be lower”. For some that number for guns owned and stored in a home is zero. While 40 is a large number compared to how many the owner can use at one time, there is no reason to say that is a number over a limit the Government should be setting.

Weren’t some of these weapons assault rifles. Makes me think back to old Gerry Williams on RKO talking to some guy who said he wanted to own assault rifles for hunting. Williams said, “What do you want to do, kill a herd of deer?”
