Wednesday Night: Two Events
There are (at least) two important events happening in Lowell tomorrow night. Take your pick, but please try to make it to one of them:
Downtown Canalway Visioning Session
Wednesday, November 16, 2016, 6 pm to 8 pm
UMass Lowell Innovation Hub, 110 Canal St, 3rd Floor
The City is hosting a public visioning session to solicit input on designs for the lower Pawtucket Canalway located in the Hamilton Canal District. One goal of this gathering is to build on the momentum started by the Lowell Heritage Partnership with the Waterways Vitality Initiative and to generate public input. Everyone is welcome to attend. Representatives from city of Lowell, the Lowell City Council, Lowell National Historical Park, Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, Hamilton Canal District developers, and abutting businesses, are all expected to attend.
Bunker Hill Roll of Honor
Wednesday, November 16, 2016, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Pollard Memorial Library, Memorial Hall
The Annual Meeting of Lowell Parks and Conservation Trust will include a presentation featuring the recently restored Bunker Hill Roll of Honor, a listing of all the militia members from area towns who participated in the Battle of Bunker Hill. A National Park Ranger from the Bunker Hill Monument will speak about the role of the greater Lowell militia in that battle. Revolutionary War re-enactors will also participate. The program is free and open to the public.
