Lowell Monuments: Alfred J. Baraby Jr. Square

Alfred J. Baraby Jr. Square – Andover Street and Wilder Road – Alfred J. Baraby Jr. was born in Nashua in 1919. He eventually moved to Lowell and was a longtime resident of Belvidere. He served in the United States Army during World War II. After the war, he worked at General Electric for 30 years. He was involved in the Immaculate Conception Church, the Elks Club, Long Meadow Gold Club, and CYO Basketball. He died on April 22, 1998. The city dedicated the square in his honor in 2003.
