The topic of tomorrow’s Lowell Walk is Lowell in World War I. The tour begins at 10 am at Lowell National Park Visitor Center, 246 Market Street and will last about 90 minutes. The tour will be led by Richard Howe (me). Besides discussing the direct impact of the war on the city, we will also review the many changes in society that took place 100 years ago driven by technological innovation, immigration and other factors.
