Greater Lowell Real Estate Review

It looks like the real estate market continues to flatten out. There is still a shortage of houses for sale, so if you’re selling you will probably be successful and get a good price, but overall the market has slowed, especially for mortgage refinancings. As the following monthly numbers show, there was a boom that began last May and continued through December, but the deceleration began at the start of 2017 and continues. So here are the monthly totals of deeds and mortgages recorded in the Middlesex North Registry of Deeds, which includes the city of Lowell and the towns of Billerica, Carlisle, Chelmsford, Dracut, Dunstable, Tewksbury, Tyngsborough, Westford and Wilmington.
