Here is the CLH background on Russell:
George Hall Russell was born on July 3, 1871, in Concord, N.H, and died Dec. 26, 1944, in Lowell. Russell began his career as a commercial photographer in Lowell about 1914, following Amos H. Sanborn, Commercial Photographer. He was known for large, panoramic group photographs and traveled throughout New England photographing school graduations, group outings, conventions, social events, and fraternal, military, and union organizations. In the 1990s, his estate donated to the Lowell Historical Society a collection of panoramic photographs with Lowell connections.
