I found this video on YouTube. It was originally posted by ARLBOSTONRESCUE.  Below is the video description as written by the poster.

The Animal Rescue League of Boston received a call for assistance from the Lowell animal control, fro a gull that was stuck to the ice on the Merrimack river in Lowell MA. We assessed the situation and called in the needed assets to safely carry out the rescue effort. Once we got the needed equipment in place and suited up in our cold water immersion suits (just in case), we headed out to rescue the gull. Once we reached the gull we were able to carefully free some of its frozen feathers from the ice surface, The gull was brought back to our shelter for an initial assessment. From here it will either be released or go to one of the wildlife rehabilitation facilities in MA.
These types of rescues are only possible through the generous support of people like you. We don’t receive any government funding, so please donate today and help us save more animals at www.arlboston.org.
