Center City Cmte welcomes new National Park Superintendent

Lowell’s Center City Committee hosted a reception for the new Lowell National Historic Park Superintendent Celeste Bernardo (above) this evening at Fuse Bistro. The announcement of Bernardo’s appointment was made just a month ago, so this was the first opportunity for many in the community to meet her. In her brief remarks this evening, she emphasized her previous experience in urban parks and her commitment to the many partnerships that have made the Park’s presence here in Lowell such a success.

Enjoyed the ” faces in the crowd” welcoming the Superintendent – Pauline Golec, stalwart activist with the Lowell Folk Festival and so much more… Bill Lipchitz, retired longtime Center Cities Chair and so much more… Art Sutcliffe, Chair of the Lowell Festival Foundation and more… Jamie O’Hearn, the young professional activist… Sue Andrews, the ultimate go-to-person inthe Lowell Park… Sorry to miss this event but I excpect there will be more.
