Greater Lowell Veterans Council Veterans Day Ceremony

The Greater Lowell Veterans Council held its annual Veterans Day ceremony today at the Polish American Veterans Club. The event featured a buffet breakfast inside the hall (shown above) followed by a speaking program and a wreath laying ceremony outside the club at which a rifle salute was fired and taps was played. The event was attended by veterans of all eras along with elected officials who came to pay tribute to the veterans, a relationship depicted in the photograph below which shows Lowell Mayor Jim Milinazzo (right) and his dad, Al Milinazzo, a US Navy veteran of World War Two.
