Area Democrats, community activists, government officials and special guests will gather at Lenzi’s, 410 Merrimack Avenue in Dracut on October 23, 2011 at 10am for the Greater Lowell Area Democrats (GLAD) ANNUAL FALL BRUNCH.

That morning, two distinguished Democrats will be honored for their dedication, service and commitment. These honorees are well-known for their activism, advocacy and service rooted in the principles of the Democratic Party.

 Jennifer Mieth, member of the Democratic State Committee, Chair of the Groton Democratic Town Committee and tireless community and political activist along with George Noel, Chairman of the Billerica Democratic Town Committee, longtime political activist and leader in the Merrimack Valley  and state-wide labor movement will receive the 2011 Annual Distinguished Democrat Awards.

 State Senator Eileen Donoghue, State Senator Barry Finegold and leaders of the Massachusetts Democratic Party are among the dignitaries expected to attend.
