Something is also happening at Middlesex Community College. The latest is a new TV show that airs on Lowell Telecommunications called MCC Connects. Mary Jo Griffin hosts the monthly show which spotlights programs offered at the college. With the aid of LTC, MCC “students are working the show both on-camera and behind the scenes, taking care of the sound, editing, camera-work, make-up, and all the hundreds of other details that go into producing a cable show!” (MCC blog). What a great idea. During my old days at WLLH radio I had many student interns and I can tell you, the best way to teach students is to get them involved in a hands on manner.
You can find MCC Connects in Lowell on Channel 8 at 7 p.m. on Mondays for starters, as well as through Lowell Telecommunications’ website at www.ltc.org
You can also watch the program on the Billerica Public Access educational channel beginning this Friday at the following times: Fridays, 8 p.m., Saturdays, 3 p.m., Sundays, 9 a.m, Mondays, 6 p.m., and Tuesdays at 7 p.m.
MCC Connects will be airing on Bedford Channel 8 on Thursday nights at 8:30 p.m. as well as Friday mornings and afternoons, and on Chelmsford’s Channel 8 on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. and Friday nights at 10 p.m.
