I became a huge Bruins fan about a month ago, but I’ve enjoyed watching them as much as I’ve ever enjoyed watching any team, and I think may have lost weight watching these 1-0 Vancouver cliffhangers.
What amazes me is the speed with which you’ve got to think in this game. It may require faster reflexes and decision making than any game humans play, and endurance and toughness as well. You’ll see a guy spin 360 degrees then pass the puck diagonally down the ice onto the stick of another player, and I have to ask myself how the player was able to have the vision, or to know where that player would be there. I have a newfound respect for the game and especially for this team.

Time to light the holy candles.
