The Telly is wall to wall Royal Wedding. At least Ellen gave me a laugh this morning.

Thanks Tony-good for a chuckle. I confess i turned on the royal wedding while sipping my coffee this morning. I have no particular interest in the royal couple, but I could listen to those choirs all day. Beautiful music. And I enjoyed the minister quoting Chaucer. The Brits do understand pageantry. You can almost forget that it’s just “sound and fury, signifying nothing.”

Tony – I always enjoy Ellen and unlike many – her humor is clean. I watched the ceremony and like Steve enjoyed the music and also the homily and even the hat fashions. Kate made a beautiful bride in an elegant, traditional gown befitting the day.
One of my Facebook posts this morning: “Noted not only the words of St. Catherine of Sienna (today is her Feastday) – “Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire.” in the Archbishop of Canterbury’s homily but the words of poet Geoffroy Chaucer -““Whan maistrie [mastery] comth, the God of Love anon, Beteth his wynges, and farewell, he is gon.” It was a beautiful wedding homily.”
Best wishes to the bride and groom!
Dennis S. says:
David Letterman said it best: “I can’t decide whether I don’t care or if I couldn’t care less.”
Craig Ferguson also shot off a few good lines: “The couple is registered at Bed, Bath and Beheaded.” He then showed a picture of the Queen of England (Elton John wearing a Louis XVI wig.
Good luck to the Royal Couple. I married my very own Princess Di 21 years ago and it’s been blissful
