Read what the Andover Patch has to say about Andover native Kate Hanson Foster’s new book of poems, which will be released on Sunday, May 22, at 2 pm at UMass Lowell’s O’Leary Library Auditorium. Kate is a graduate of UMass Lowell as well as the Bennington (Vermont) College Master of Fine Arts Program in Writing. Many of the poems explore the underside of urban experience, using Lowell as the context, as the writer/speaker seeks what should be saved and what can be redeemed—and describes how we are transformed by what happens day to day.
