The next regular breakfast meeting of Greater Lowell Area Democrats  will be held tomorrow – Saturday March 19, 20011  at 8am at the Independence Grill at the Radisson Hotel in Chelmsford. The regular agenda will include:  the 5th District and the legislative redistricting plans and Joint Redistricting Committee hearing schedule and website;  and host committee plans for the MDP Convention in Lowell (June 4, 2011).  Members will be asked for their preliminary input on the 2012 National Convention delegate selection process – the selection plan was sent out to members earlier this week. Local and federal legislative activities continue to be on the agenda – including: the continued threat of a shut-down of the federal government,  the federal FY’12 budget, proposed cuts and the resulting fall-out, the state and local budgets and the budgetary philosophy and other related topics. Party events and local social and fundraising activities are also on the agenda.

GLAD Members, Associates and interested Democrats – especially town and ward chairs – are urged to attend the GLAD meetings along with elected and appointed officials.

Directions: Independence Grill at the Radisson Hotel – Exit 34/Rte. 495 – take right off Rte 110 at the hotel sign / parking in front and behind the hotel.

Note: State Senator Barry Finegold is holding a Town Hall Forum/Listening Session at 10am tomorrow at Harmony Hall in Dracut. You can still attend the GLAD meeting and get to the Forum as well.
