Actors Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale were in Lowell on the night of December 7, 2010 for an exclusive photo shoot with Mickey “Irish” Ward and his half-brother Dickie Eklund. 980 WCAP was there for both interviews and photos. Tune in to 980 WCAP tomorrow morning (12/8/2010) for the audio clip!

    I just wanted to take the opportunity to give credit where it is due. This fantastic piece of ‘citizen journalism’ was created by 980WCAP Saturday Morning Live newsman (and Lowell Catholic HS student) Tyler Dumont. I was blown away at the effenciency, accumen and professionalism demonstrated by Tyler in the creation and production of this piece as well as his creativity in getting the media to the masses. Both Fox 25 and WCVB-TV channel 5 covered the same story in their nightly newscasts, but Tyler’s piece beat both of them to “air” and, in my opinion in quality of content. Tyler makes us look really good.
