Bill Clinton Coming to Nashua for Gov. Lynch

The Nashua Telegraph is reporting that former president Bill Clinton is coming to Nashua to campaign for Governor John Lynch. The Telegraph’s senior political writer and columnist Kevin Landrigan has confirmed that Clinton will will hold a campaign rally for Gov. John Lynch at Nashua Community College on Sunday – October 31st. Landrigan notes:

Clinton won the state’s four electoral votes twice. His second-place finish in the 1992 Democratic primary, a surprise comeback showing, set him on the way to the nomination.

Nashua Community College, on Route 101A, is no stranger to high-ranking federal officials. Vice President Joe Biden hosted a town hall at NCC in 2009 and then-President George W. Bush held a jobs forum there in 2004.

Bill Clinton is the most sought-after surrogate – he is in fact the surrogate-of-choice – on the Democratic campaign trail! We well-remember the enthusiasm and excitement he brought to the Lowell Memorial Auditorium when he campaigned for Niki Tsongas back in 2007. A transportation glitch caused a packed house of loyalists to wait hours for him. Still enthusiastic – they greeted him with a prolonged standing ovation. He delivered!
