Bach, Dance, and Sleep: A Concert by Aaron Larget-Caplan, Oct. 20, 7 pm, Whistler House Museum of Art, 243 Worthen Street, Lowell. Guitarist Larget-Caplan performs exotic dances, tangos, and serenades by Albeniz (Spain) and Piazzolla (Argentina), new lullabies by New England composers, and Bach fugures. This is a Parker Lectures program.
Spirit of Spain: A Family Concert by Aaron Larget-Caplan, Oct. 23, 1 pm, Whistler House Museum of Art, 243 Worthen Street, Lowell. Guitarist Larget-Caplan offers a tour of Spanish history, geography, language, and poetry through classical and flamenco music. This is a Parker Lectures program.
UMass Lowell Marching Band at MICCA Championship Band Festival, Oct. 24, 2.30 pm (approx. time of UML performance—festival hours are 9 am to 5 pm), Cawley Stadium, off Douglas Road, Lowell. Admission: $10. This is the Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral Conductors Association Marching Band Championship Festival.
Fall Colors: A Choral Concert, Oct. 28, 7.30 pm, Durgin Hall, 35 Wilder Street, UMass Lowell South Campus. Features UMass Lowell Chamber Singers, University Choir, and Choral Union directed by Murray Kidd.

I am looking forward to returning to Lowell, as I last played in 2007. And am very excited to be playing in the beautiful Whistler House Museum.
