More Kerouac Festival Reporting
Today’s SUN includes an eloquently written article by Rita Savard about Jack Kerouac’s roots in Centralville, specifically St. Louis de France parish. She accompanied a group of people on a Sunday morning walking tour that was guided by the orginator of the tours of Kerouac literary sites, Roger Brunelle. He led four tours at this year’s Kerouac Literary Festival, covering Kerouac places in Centralville, Pawtucketville, Downtown, and citywide (on a bus). In Sunday’s paper, correspondent Angel Roy contributed an in-depth account of the Festival’s dynamic panel discussion among novelists Anita Shreve, Tom Perrotta, Ann Hood, and Andre Dubus III on Saturday afternoon at the UMass Lowell Inn & Conference Center. Some 200 people enjoyed the lively conversation about the writing craft, the publishing business, e-books, and more. Read the article here.
