Mass Dems Party Platform Hearing in Lowell ~ March 27, 2013

The Massachusetts Democratic Party Platform Committee and interested Democrats are hosting hearings on the 2013 Party Platform across the Commonwealth. The range of topics covers and includes: Labor; Healthcare and Human Services; Education; Voting and Democracy; Justice and Civil Rights; Revenue and Expenditures;  Economic Growth; Transportation and Infrastructure; Energy and Environment; Ethics and Transparency in Government; Business and Entrepreneurship; Public Safety and Crime Prevention.

Middlesex Sheriff Peter Koutoujian is hosting a hearing locally on “Public Safety and Crime Prevention” on Wednesday March 27, 2013 from 6:00-7:00pm at the United Teen Equality Center (UTEC), 34 Hurd Street in Lowell. On another note ~ WGBH and other outlets will broadcast a debate for the Massachusetts U.S. Senate special election on Wednesday, March 27, produced by The Boston Media Consortium. There will be a debate watch party at UTEC immediately following the hearing ~ refreshments will be served.

The 2013 Massachusetts Democratic State Convention will be held on Saturday July 13, 2013 at the Tsongas Center at UMASS Lowell!  The 2013 Convention will determine the next Party Platform for the Massachusetts Democratic Party and will also feature a Youth Convention for high school students in Massachusetts.
