Schedule for Redistricting Hearings

Current Congressional Legislative Districts from the Special Joint Committee Website

In the continued effort to get local citizen input, the Special Joint Committee on Redistricting has posted additional hearing dates and sites on the SJCR website. This is a list of the hearings schedule to date:

— Saturday, March 26, 10 a.m., Springfield High School;
— Monday, March 28, 6 p.m., Lynn City Hall;
— Monday, April 11, 6 p.m., Clark University, Worcester;
— Monday, April 25, 6 p.m., Pittsfield City Hall;
— Monday, May 2, 6 p.m., Massasoit Community College, Brockton;
— Wednesday, May 11, 6 p.m., Framingham State University;
— Monday, May 16, 6 p.m., New Bedford Public Library;
— Tuesday, May 31, 6 p.m., Greenfield Community College;
— Monday, June 6, 6 p.m., Quincy High School;
— Monday, June 13, 6 p.m., Lawrence High School;

    Great map and good information, but this quote may add to the cynicism:  “In the continued effort to get local citizen input…”

    Maybe Dick can run one of those on-line polls, like they have at the Althouse blog, where readers could pick between (1) They really care, (2) It is all smoke,covering the back room deal or (3) I vote present and defer to Carol Cleven.

    That said, I plan on trying to make one of the meetings.
