The Lowell Review at lala books
The official launch of The Lowell Review 2022 will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at lala books, 189 Market Street, in downtown Lowell.
The Lowell Review includes essays, poems, stories, criticism, opinion, and visual art by writers from the Merrimack Valley and across the country and the world. The 2022 edition contains a section on Jack Kerouac, an interview of best-selling Lowell science fiction writer, Pierre Comtois, a remembrance of the late Lowell Sun photographer Bob Whitaker, stories and poems about politics, the pandemic, immigration, sports, and many other topics.
Copies of The Lowell Review will be available for sale at the May 7 event (cost $15) for as long as they last. At 11 am, TLR editors Paul Marion and I will make brief remarks about how this project came together then we and some contributors will be on hand until 1 pm for informal discussions.
So, come to lala books on May 7 between 11 am and 1 pm to meet the writers, get your magazine, learn how to submit work for 2023, and browse the store for purchases. Thank you to Laura at lala books for hosting the event.
