On Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. at the Cameron Senior Center, 20 Pleasant Street, Westford, I will present a Homestead Seminar that is free and open to the public.

Recording a Declaration of Homestead at the Registry of Deeds protects your home from creditors. At this event, I will explain how this valuable law works and will have blank Homestead forms for anyone who wishes to file one (the recording fee is $35, cash or check). I will also discuss and answer questions about common real estate issues such as trusts, joint ownership of property, and mortgages.
