I spent some time this weekend with the Lowell voter database. Here are some numbers as of January 1, 2013:

Total registered voters – 54,943

Number of male voters – 26,771 (49%)
Number of female voters – 27,978 (51%)

Democrats – 22,005 (40%)
Republicans – 4,827 (9%)
Unenrolled – 27,731 (50%)

Number of voters:
Under age 20 – 1,506 (3% of total)
Age 20 to 29 – 11,213 (20%)
Age 30 to 39 – 9,876 (18%)
Age 40 to 49 – 9,497 (17%)
Age 50 to 59 – 9,967 (18%)
Age 60 to 69 – 6,749 (12%)
Age 70 to 79 – 3,413 (6%)
Age 80 to 89 – 2,211 (4%)
Over age 90 – 511 (1%)
