Wilmington Apple Letter to Editor

The following letter in support of my candidacy was published yesterday in the Wilmington Apple, the online news outlet for Wilmington, Mass.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Dick Howe Is The Right Choice For Middlesex Register Of Deeds

Dear Editor,

I am writing today to voice my strong support for Dick Howe in his re-election as Register of Deeds. For anyone who has not had the pleasure of interacting with Dick, he not only has vast knowledge of all aspects of the office but he is also a local historian, veteran and just an all-around great guy.

Throughout his tenure as Register of Deeds in Middlesex Northern District, Dick has been a leader for Registries across the Commonwealth serving twice as the Chair of the Massachusetts Registers of Deeds Association and is currently the chair of the Association’s Technology Subcommittee and Middlesex Northern District was the first registry in Massachusetts to go paperless in 2001.

He is always eager to make processes more efficient and under his leadership, the Registry has digitized all records since 1629 and Middlesex Northern District was the first registry in Massachusetts to go paperless in 2001. With the Registry office moving to the new Judicial Center in 2019, we need someone like Dick who will be able to make the move as seamless as possible while maintaining daily operations.

I ask that you help me in re-electing Dick Howe as our Register of Deeds!

Thank you,

Alicia Johnson
Wilmington
