Here’s a press release that I received yesterday from Vesna Nuon, a candidate for Lowell City Council:

VESNA NUON FOR CITY COUNCIL

(Lowell, MA) Attending a fundraiser for Lowell City Council candidate Vesna Nuon, Congresswoman Niki Tsongas complimented Nuon for his previous community service and said she would look forward to working with him on a return to the Lowell City Council, stating, “I have no doubt that he will serve this great city again with great distinction.”

Tsongas, at a Nuon fundraiser at Garcia-Brogan’s restaurant with some sixty people in attendance, added, “Vesna will bring true passion and commitment to public education and to making our city safe.” Further, Tsongas cited Nuon’s strong ability “to reach out to people.” She also credited him with being able to work with diverse groups of people towards positive results. “He will work with people to get to yes,” stated Tsongas.

Nuon thanked Congresswoman Tsongas for her support. “I am very grateful for Congresswoman Tsongas’ positive words and confidence in my abilities. For a number of years I’ve had the privilege of working with Niki Tsongas on youth issues as well as on education and public safety initiatives. She is an extremely dedicated public servant and someone who is a great role model and genuine community leader.”

“My campaign theme for Lowell City Council is stronger together,” said Nuon. Being able to have public officials with different experiences and backgrounds working together – this is an advantage that will help tackle and solve critical issues facing our city.
