The last week in June is usually a busy time at the registry of deeds. The last Friday and the last work day of any month are always the busiest of the month since closing at the end of the month cuts down on the amount of interest the homeowner has to pay at closing. And June is always busy, partly because it’s the end of the fiscal year for some businesses but also because people who find new houses in the spring often wait until school is over to finalize the sale.
