John Kennedy Inaugural Address
Today President Obama will be sworn into office for a second term as the 44th president of the United States. The first Presidential Inaugural I remember took place on January 20, 1961. I was ten years old. The new president was just 43 years old and had captured the country’s imagination. The night before a snowstorm blanketed Washington and bitter cold temperatures settled in. The youthful Kennedy, stepped to the podium, without over-coat or hat and gave one of the shortest, yet most powerful Inaugural Addresses in history. How could anyone forget that.
