This coming Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, the Lowell Citywide Neighborhood Council will present a City Council Candidate Forum at the Amphitheater at the North Common. (Rain site is the Lafeyette Club at 465 Fletcher Street). The topic for this forum is “Public Safety & Neighborhood Issues.” Three other forums will be held in the coming weeks.

Everyone in Lowell who blogs, comments on blogs, reads blogs, posts to Facebook or launches city-centric Tweets on Twitter should really try to attend this forum. Our collective efforts to hear what the candidates have to say and then echo them across the city electronically will be a great community service and will better educate many voters about where the council candidates stand on the issues.
