For me, last night was proof of just how much Citizen Journalism has become a part of mass media.  Like most of us, I flipped from TV channel to TV channel watching the emergency weather broadcast. As the evening continued on I caught several TV reports using “homemade” YouTube videos. Some of the video quality was poor, but the images were first-hand and fresh as compared to the repetition of the broadcast. This morning YouTube is filled with videos taken by citizen journalist of the tornado in Western Mass and lightening storms near the Merrimack Valley.
