The 4th Annual Lowell Film Festival begins tomorrow (Thursday, April 28). The full schedule is available on the Festival’s website. In conjunction with the films being shown, I will conduct walking tours of “Civil War Lowell” on Thursday night at 6 pm (beginning at the Ladd & Whitney monument); Friday night at 6 pm (beginning at the Pollard Memorial Library); and Saturday afternoon at 12:30 (beginning at the Pollard Memorial Library). The tours are free, require no registration, and will be done within 45 minutes which will give tour-goers ample time to get to the next film on time.

The major films that will be shown during the festival include:
Glory – Thursday at 7 pm at National Park Visitor Center on Market Street (trailer above)
Traces of the Trade – Friday at 7 pm at National Park Visitor Center on Market Street
John Brown’s Holy War – Saturday at 11 am at Pollard Memorial Library
The General – Saturday at 11 am at Boott Events Center, Boott Cotton Mill Museum
Gone with the Wind – Saturday at 7 pm at Comley-Lane Theater, Mahoney Hall, UML South Campus on Broadway
and several others.

Please consider attending this year’s festival. See a movie. Take a tour.
