Lowell Walks: Greeks in the Acre

During the last decade of the 19th century, newcomers from Greece joined the stream of people flowing into Lowell. The Greeks went to work in the mills and settled in the Acre where they raised families, started businesses, and built a supportive community. Learn about their life in that neighborhood, where their language, religion, and culture thrived and is still part of Lowell life today.
