On the school committee,
former school committee member Kathryn Stoklosa joined incumbents
Gerald Durkin, Clement McDonough, George O'Hare, Daniel Kane and
William Kirwin.

Former school committee
member Gus Coutu was elected to the city council and did not seek
re-election to the school committee.

Outgoing Mayor Robert Maguire
fractured his kneecap on election day when struck by a car while he
was campaigning on a traffic island at Andover and Nesmith Streets.
