Photos from Tony Sampas exhibit at LTC

Tomorrow (Saturday, January 6, 2018) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Lowell Telecommunications Corp at 246 Market Street, Lowell, there will be an artist reception for “Objects and Architectures: Photography of Tony Sampas.”

The photos on exhibit are from Tony’s Master’s Degree thesis in the Visual Arts program at Lesley College. Also are included are photos posted by Tony on social media, including many on richardhowe.com.

Tony has explained that he brings an appreciation for light, color and perspective from his earlier training as an artist to his photography. A brief scroll through the photos on his Flickr page provides ample evidence of the excellent photos that result.

The receptions is free and open to the public and refreshments will be served. Tony has also invited Paul Marion and me to bring (and offer for sale) copies of History as It Happens: Citizen Bloggers in Lowell, Mass. which includes many of Tony’s photos.

So please consider stopping by LTC tomorrow anytime between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. You’ll see some terrific photos and we’ll also have a chance to talk informally about the upcoming season of Lowell Walks. The schedule is not yet set, so suggestions for new walks are always welcome.
