Shootout for Soldiers at UMass Lowell this Weekend

Shootout for Soldiers uses lacrosse to connect local veterans with their community and to support their healthy and successful transition into civilian life. This year’s Shootout for Soldiers Boston will take place this coming weekend, Friday, June 3, and Saturday, June 4, at UMass Lowell’s Cushing Field. The event will feature 24 consecutive 1-hour lacrosse games that begin Friday at 7pm with a Veterans Game and continues through the night and morning until 6 pm on Saturday afternoon.

All funds raised during the tournament will benefit four veterans’ organizations: Team Red White & Blue, Army Ranger Lead the Way Fund, Semper Fi Fund, and Gary Sinise Foundation. Each team that participates raises $750 but donations are welcome from all sources. Admission is free, refreshments will be available, and raffles and a silent auction will take place throughout the tournament.
