Motions for this week’s City Council Meeting

Here are the motions that have been filed for this week’s Lowell City Council meeting:

By Councilor Kennedy – Request City Council amend the proposed changes to Section 176, Article 1 (rental property Ordinance) by excluding owner occupied two family properties.

By Councilor Mercier – Request the City Manager have the Traffic Engineer revisit Dublin Street to allow members of the Senior Center to park vehicles on the COA side of the street from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. so more senior activities can be offered.

By Councilor Mercier – Request the City Manager have proper department repair defect in roadway in front of 369 Andover Street.

By Councilor Elliott – Request City Manager/CFO report/address problems with on-line payments for real estate bills, water bills.

By Councilor Elliott – Request City Council discuss placing stop sign at location of 5th and Mt. Grove Streets.

By Councilors Lorrey and Leahy – Request City Manager send a letter to Chancellor Martin Meehan of UMass Lowell congratulating him on the success of
the Senatorial debate and the positive image it portrayed of Lowell.

By Councilor Nuon – Request City Manager provide status of the construction of the Lowell Community Health Center.

By Councilor Nuon – Request City Manager provide status and plans for the Butler School Building.

By Councilor Nuon – Request City Manager update City Website regarding Councilors’ pictures and bios.

By Mayor Murphy – Request City Council adopt formal process of interviewing and selecting candidates to fill any vacancy on the Greater Lowell Technical High School Committee.
